2. Hanging arm

There are 3 types for arms: single column, single arm and double arms. For single arm and double arms, there are mechanical and electric types.

Single column medical pendant means without hanging arm, not flexible, but with lower price, much suitable for low budget, fixed bed and using position department. Such as emergency room, emergency room, rescue room, NICU. Generally single column pendant box can be rotated, so some hospital can support 2 or 3 bed with 1 single column pendant. Single arm means one arm, double arms means 2 arms. The arm length can be customized according to the working area. Someone may think that double arms pendants are much better than single arm because it working area is big. In fact the medical pendant should be chosen according to hospital environment, compared with double arms, single arm is used widely, because convenience operation is much important for medical staff. You can fix single arm pendant by operate it 1 time, while double arms pendant need 2 times.

For single and double arm medical pendant, there are mechanical and electric types. Mechanical arm can be rotated along axial direction; electric arm can be rotated along axial direction and radial direction. For single arm medical pendant you can choose mechanical or electric arm. For double arms medical pendant, the first arm which near to the base is mechanical arm, 2nd arm can be mechanical arm or electric arm. Such as above picture, left picture double arm medical pendant, those 2 arms are mechanical arms, right picture the 1st arm is mechanical arm, 2nd arm is electric arm, height can be adjusted by motors which located on the bottom of electric arm.

3. Box

Swing pipe and box connect under hanging arm. Swing pipe’s length is depend on room’ height. For box, every factory has its own design, it length can be customized according to usage requirement and gas/power terminal quantity.

Generally strong and weak electrical outlet, gas terminal and equipment rails will be equipped on medical pendant. Strong and weak electrical outlet support 220V strong electrical and network, video, audio and other weak signals. Gas terminal support different gas source, distinguished by different logo and interface shape, such as oxygen, air, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, negative pressure, anesthesia and so on. Equipment rails fix tray, drawer, rotation arm etc, supporting supporting platform for different equipment. Besides those, some box may install control handle or other accessories to control medical pendant’s movement.

Because strong and weak electrical and gas usage frequency is very high, so the gas and electrical separate requirement is very high.
