X
ray film viewer should be set in operating room according to need. To keep
clean, save space and convenient for surgeon observe, film viewer is generally
located opposite the surgeon, generally use wall mounted installation, flush
with the wall front, seal the seams with glue, or stainless steel flange on the
four sides, the convenience of internal light source replacement should also be
considered into.
X
ray film screen can be chosen according to operating room size, and confirm it
with professional medical staff, generally 3-5 screens is much popular (considering
clamping diagnostic film and reference standard film at the same time). Regardless
of the screen number of wall mounted film viewer, mostly its height is between
400-600mm, taking into account the standing position observation, film viewer
installation height is 1300-1400mm from the film viewer’ bottom edge to the
ground. For multi-screen X ray film viewer, each screen light is controlled
separately, the switch is always on the control panel below the viewer.
The
brightness of medical X ray film viewer has an important impact on the
diagnostic quality of X-ray films. Low brightness film viewer can capture the
density of film images recorded, leading to misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis, therefore,
the highest brightness in film center should not be less than 4200cd / m2,
observation screen brightness difference should not exceed 15%. When high
brightness is needed (for observation of high-density X-ray film), the light
box should be equipped with bright light.
Using
continuous adjustable light control is much better for operating room X ray
film viewer (including light source and bright light), there are 2 reasons: 1. There
will be many different surgeries in general hospital operating room, adjustable
light brightness film viewer can suit reading different optical density of
X-ray film. 2. Operating light has high brightness, adjustable brightness film
viewer can balance the external light for reading environment. Besides, it
should be noted that other light sources should not light the film viewer
directly, avoiding reducing the reading effect.
